School visits by Fens Falconry
Fens Falconry visit schools throughout the year to provide live examples of wildlife diversity, ecology and evolution along with evidence of adaptation and food chains. We can aim our talks to all year groups from reception to 6th form students and ensure age and curriculum appropriate aspects of bird biology are covered.
Our school visits are affordably priced to allow as many pupils to benefit from our birds as possible. Visits are conducted by experienced and DBS checked bird of prey professionals.
We typically provide some classroom tuition for one class or if there for longer as many classes as you need followed by a flying demonstration in a suitable outside location.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Feedback from schools;
"The children were absolutely buzzing after your visit on Wednesday and couldn't wait to share with myself and the headteacher what they had seen and found out. They have been talking about it in their independent learning within the classroom and also at home with their families. Thank you so much for such an engaging and enriching visit for them!"

"I want to say a big big thank you to the ladies that brought the birds into school today!! The children were awe struck and loved every minute!! Thank you for keeping it 5 year old friendly!! We will be booking again for next year!!!"
"All pupils in Year 6 had an amazing afternoon with Fens Falconry, they were astounded by two 'real' birds being brought into the classroom and then watching birds of prey fly and swoop over their heads! Ellen was great with the children and her approach to teaching was relaxed yet informative. The addition of the owl pellets was great and it really brought to life our Science topic of 'Living Things and Their Habitats'. Thanks Fens Falconry for a great afternoon!"
